Review – The Krytos Trap by Michael A. Stackpole

Cover of "The Essential Legends Collection" version of The Krytos Trap by Michael A. Stackpole, showing a stylized portrait of Ysanne Isard with her characteristic eyes, one blue, the other one red, over the silhouette of the Imperial logo.

Fresh from securing Coruscant for the New Republic, the Rogue Squadron must deal with the apparent casualty of Corran Horn and the trial of his “murderer”, suspected Imperial operative Tycho Celchu.

In Coruscant, the Krytos virus stokes the flames of anti-human factions, and Rogue Squadron secures a load of bacta from Warlord Zsinj.

In the meantime, Corran Horn tries to escape from the bowels of the Lusankya, where he finds out that Tycho has not been brainwashed. During his escape he finds out his grandfather was a Jedi.

Finally I got to read the amazing scene where the Super Star Destroyer emerges from Coruscant’s underground (search the video in Youtube, it’s amazing!) and the capital planet is completely liberated.

I got the new unabridged audiobook and it’s fantastic, great narration from Marc Thompson. Highly recommended!
