“Doctor Aphra Vol. 4” is the compilation of issues related to the “Crimson Reign” crossover event. Written by Alyssa Wong with art by Minkyu Jung and Rachelle Rosenberg collects issues 16-20 of the ongoing series that started in 2020.
In the events, Doctor Aphra finds Kho Phon Farrus, an old university colleague who is obsessed with the Ascendant, an extinct group that tried to simulate the effects of the Force through technology.
Helped by Sana Starros, she will go back to her university to confront one of his oldest teachers and find out that the source of the Ascendant’s power is located beneath the campus. Will they be able to perform the necessary rituals to unlock the ancient secrets?
Fantastic art and this is one of the best arcs in the series so far!
